Thank You BVNE

Fountain Valley High School Girls Volleyball express our gratitude and appreciation to Beach Volleyball National Events (BVNE) for your generosity to our program.

Earlier this year when BVNE heard that our girls volleyball program at Fountain Valley was in need of new equipment to help replace some of the old poles and nets, Daron Forbes-Founder of BVNE, jumped right into action. A long time ago, BVNE was an indoor volleyball company, formerly known as Team WAVE, and still had a set of dual courts indoor poles. It was a perfect match and BVNE donated the equipment to Fountain Valley High School in hope that we can put them in good use.

With the donated equipment, we were able to host a couple of large tournaments and finished the rest of our season games. Most importantly, our seniors were able to play their last home game of their high school career with it.

Again, Thank you BVNE and we are forever grateful for your kind gesture!

Pre-Season Game vs University High School

Our second preseason game of the year was a huge success for the Baron Girls Volleyball Program! All the teams won with great scores and great mindsets.

The Varsity team won 3-1 with scores of 25-21, 25-19, 17-25, and 25-17. The Junior Varsity team, coached by birthday boy Edgar Palos, won 2-0 as well as the Frosh/ Soph and Barons team, both coached by Coach Dave. Thank you for everyone who came out to University High School to cheer for the Lady Barons as we battled it out with the University Trojans. Everyone raised up our spirits when we were down and kept us high as we fought hard.

We’ll persevere even more and work our hardest to battle in our last preseason match this Friday against Katella High School at home. Frosh/ Soph and JV play at 4:00 and Varsity and Barons play at 5:00. Make sure you come early to purchase some dazzling spirit wear!

First Pre-Season Game

Way to kick off the 2018-19 season with a clean sweep for the Fountain Valley Girls Volleyball Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Frosh/ Soph teams against the Westminster Lions.

The Varsity team, coached by head coach Taylor Packer, won 3-0 with scored of 25-13, 25-13, and 25-19. The Junior Varsity recorded a 2-0, and the Frosh/ Soph team, also won 2-0. Our Barons played hard against Westminster’s Frosh/Soph team as well. No matter what, everyone won in our hearts and our effort.

We also want to thank everyone who came to Lamppost Pizza afterwards to celebrate! It was great to get to meet all the parents and coaches. It was also a great way for the girls to bond. All the proceeds earn will help better our program as we grow to become the very best we can be. Hard work goes a long way and our season is looking good.

Our next home game will be against Katella High School on Friday 8/24. Make sure you come early to purchase some awesome spirit wear!
